I received my Associates in Occupational Therapy in New York and began my career working with multiple disabilities in a special education school for children three to 21 years of age. I have also worked for a nonprofit agency in a variety of settings; from senior centers, day-programs, early intervention, preschools and shelter workshops. I earned my BS from Dominican College in New York and worked as a Registered Occupational Therapist in various facilities; in/outpatient clinics, head-trauma units, nursing homes, public/private schools and early intervention (where she served as a lead therapist).
I moved to South Carolina where I teamed up with Robin Vance Ray to open Capital City Therapy Group, LLC. In my more than three decades of professional experience, I have had the pleasure of working with some amazing therapists who helped develop adaptive equipment, taught Facilitated Communication, implementation of the TEACCH Program into private/public schools, IconTalk and numerous other wonderful experiences.
